Pic Master 1.0
Hey there, you Visual Basic programers and program users! I wrote this
application so that I could interface Vpic and see my pics without any
typing. In the future, I plan to add support for more viewers (up to
fifteen, which is more than I've ever see anybody need). But for now...
(You will NEED: vbrun100.dll,MS Windows 3.0, a 286 or higher, and Vpic)
Using Pic Master
Pic Master 1.0 needs Vpic, and I recommend using version 4.5 or above.
It does not try to find vpic, so it either must be in your path, or you
must have a .PIF file named VPIC.PIF in your path. Pic Master does not
enter the file menu for vpic at all, instead it uses the slideshow
(@slidefile) function to show the pics that you specify.
Selecting Pics
When you first start out, you are presented with the familiar file/open
interface with one other filebox, and a few other buttons. The Files:
box shows you all the pics (*.gif;*.pcx;*.bmp) files in the current
directory. If you double click on one of these files, it is added
to the slideshow file. You can also highlight the filename and click
the add button to accomplish the same task. Once in the slideshow box,
you can change to any drive or directory, Pic Master saves the path
to each picture for the show.
Removing Pics
Once a pic is in the slideshow, it can be removed in two ways. Double
click on the filename to remove it, or click the Remove <-- button.
**If you click on a filename in the slideshow box and then add a pic to
the slideshow, it will be added before the highlighted pic, not to the
end. This way, you can specify the order you want to see the pics in.
Starting the Show
When you have enough pics in the slideshow box, click the Start Show
button to start the slideshow. Pic Master will open a file and save all
the info (drive, directory, and picname). The file is closed and Vpic
is started. When done viewing the pics, hit [ESC] or press the right
mouse button if using the new version of vpic that supports a mouse.
Before coming back to windows, the slideshow is deleted and you can
continue adding pics if you wish.
THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
